Q:  Give us a little background on how you selected your career path.  How did you know that this was your calling?

A: This is my other job, not really a job because it’s too much fun to be a job. I have spent my career in Business helping people grow and coaching them in the workplace. CrossFit transformed me and the change has translated to all parts of my life.  I want to help this change occur in others. There is something special going on when a person reaches the hard part of a workout or even a situation in life and they don’t give up. They push through it.  That’s why I am a CrossFit coach.

Q:  What is your training philosophy?

A: to coach individuals on what they need to be coached on, not what they want to be coached on. To always insist on the constant pursuit of improvement from each of our athletes.

Q:  What is the biggest misconception clients have about CrossFit?

A: That they need to be in shape to start.  CrossFit, when prescribed properly will render anyone results regardless of their age, injuries or impairments.

Q:  What separates you from other professionals in your field?

A:  I think my CrossFit testimony separates me.  I have very little athletics in my background (elementary school soccer and baseball) In my mid thirties I was drifting into the typical American heath disaster. I was Stressed from work, had horrible nutrition, sitting at a desk all day putting on the pounds in the mid section. I decided to get a membership at a gym. I made it part of my daily routine. Running a little on the tread mill or elliptical, lifting some weights. I struggled with a consistant program and motivation but I kept it up. After a few years of that I was seeing some results. Love handles were at least concealable, stomach was not hanging over my belt unless I sat down. I  was at least keeping off most of the extra weight and actually thought I was pretty fit.
My brother is a dedicated  CrossFitter he convinced me to give one of the workouts a try. It crushed me. I was astonished at how so short a workout could be so hard. It was then that I realized I had only scratched the surface of what Fit was. I started CrossFitting followed the CrossFit main site workouts and explored and followed the prescribed nutrition. The results in the first year were amazing. Almost two years later I look back and can’t believe how far I have come. Although the workouts never get easier, the post workout does. I look forward to the WOD everyday. I know CrossFit works. I am the proof……
